November’s $5 Pattern: Bloomington Jelly Roll Quilt
A new month means a new $5 pattern. November 2021 is a little extra special, it also happens to mean a new fabric collection is on its way! That’s right. The wait for my Love Note collection for Moda Fabrics will be over soon. Let’s cross our fingers (and toes) that there will be no delays. Here’s your clue for the new $5 pattern…
THE BLOOMINGTON FLOWER QUILT
Say hello to the Bloomington flower quilt pattern. This fun geometric flower quilt originated 2016 as part of the Olive’s Flower Market collection. Make it with 1 Jelly Roll (30 precut strips 2.5″ x WOF). I thought it would be lovely to give this one a makeover in Love Note fabric. MAKE IT IN LOVE NOTE FABRIC
To make one like the mockup in Love Note fabric, here’s all the info:
Finished block: 20″ x 20″
Finished quilt: 80″ x 80″
Materials Needed:
• 1 Jelly Roll® (30 strips 2½’’ x WOF) Love Note fabric
• 3¼ yards white background fabric (Moda Bella SKU #9900 98)
• 1 yard pale pink fabric for block centers (SKU #5154-16 “Herringbone” in Sweet Pink or Moda Bella SKU #9900 297 “Peach Blossom”)
• 2 yards blue sashing fabric (Moda Bella SKU #9900 38 “Dusty Jade”)
• 6½ yards backing fabric (I’d recommend 5150-11 “Rose in Bloom” in Cloud)
• ¾ yard binding fabric (5153-15 “Distressed Stripes” in Tea Rose)
• 88’’ x 88’’ batting
