Wild Hare in Magic Dot Fabric
There’s a new $5 pattern in March 2024 and it will have you doing a little bunny hop to your sewing machine. It’s the “Wild Hare” bunny quilt pattern and features a forest of sweet bunny blocks playing under the stars. It’s giving us those Easter vibes just in time for spring! I thought it would be fun to play around with the design in Magic Dot fabric (arriving to shops Oct 2024) to give it an alternative look. Looks like warm spring night in bunny land to me!
The Fabric
Magic Dot fabric is an upcoming collection expected October 2024. (If you are interested in this collection, be sure to let your favorite shops know.) I’ve put together a materials list if you’d like to make this variation of “Wild Hare” in Magic Dot fabric. Feel free to share with the shops so they can order the supplies.
Don’t forget backing fabric! You will need 4-1/2 yards backing fabric – so pick your favorite color. Since it is such a dark quilt top, I’d recommend using more of the “Midnight” navy yardage 5230-41.

March 20, 2024 at 11:03 amI really like the Magic Dot fabric coming out. I also love the Wild Hare pattern with the navy background. I do not need a big quilt with bunnies, so I plan to shorten it to a table runner.
