Sewcialites 2: (Block 8)
Happy Friday! It’s time for the Sewcialites 2 free block of the week! Today’s pattern is Block 8 “Interwoven” by Shereece Nicole of Sew Hooked on Treasures.
Block 8: “Interwoven”
This “Interwoven” block is so cool. It’s classified as “experienced” skill level by Fat Quarter Shop, which is understandable. There are a lot of pieces and you really have to take care to keep track of which color goes where to make it work. So worth it though! It’s awesome. My only tip for this one might be to press your seams open to reduce the bulk of all those seams.
Fabric
The first block is mocked up in Country Rose fabric (in shops now) and is scaled to represent the 6″ finished block size. I always love the classy combination of taupes, charcoals, and pinks. It was fun to see the little pop of blue looking so sweet too!
The second version is mocked up in Christmas Eve fabrics (expected May 2023). As I look at my blocks overall, I wanted to bring out a little more of the greens. So many great possibilities with this one.

February 28, 2023 at 4:21 amIn the photo it appears as all the strips are one continuous piece of fabric. However in the pattern it is made of several cuts with the middle being a pinwheel. How did you do that?
