Sewcialites Quilt Along: Free Block of the Week (Block 26)
How are your Sewcialites blocks coming along? Can you believe only ten blocks remain for the Sewcialites Quilt Along by Fat Quarter Shop?! Today’s release is Block 26 “Courage” by fellow Moda designer Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilts. As you can see, I opted to keep my version of the block more simple this time around.

Fabric + Layout
I’ve been using my Christmas Morning fabric collection for Moda Fabrics (shipping July). I love this near-solid, dove-grey “Comfort” print (SKU 5146-12) against the white. I am a real sucker for near-solid prints like this one. It has the benefit of looking like a solid (ideal for backgrounds) but has an added depth because of the subtle design within. Basically, I’ll be stocking up on this one for my personal stash. For my layout, I will need 40 blocks total (10 red + 12 green + 16 grey + 2 low volume). This breakdown will make more sense once you have seen my layout:
