8. Lovey Dovey – Lella Boutique

You may remember this one from my Love Note collection a few years ago. Lovey Dovey uses traditional piecing – a combination of beginner half square triangle and easy corner triangles techniques to make the doves and hearts. Lovey Dovey is available in my pattern shop here.

Totally swooning over this one by my friend, Chelsi Stratton. Love the way she incorporate the heart into a log cabin design. You can grab the Hearts at Home pattern in her shop here. Chelsi actually has quite a few quilt patterns – you may want to look around her shop and browse the others.

10. Heartthrob – Lella Boutique

This one is actually one of my very first quilt pattern designs. Since Heartthrob is Jelly Roll friendly, it made its way into my book, Jelly Filled – 18 Quilts From 2-1/2″ Strips (Stash Books).

Thank you, love all the hearts. I taught several classes of “Open Heart” at my local quilt shop in Texas. It was a huge success!

Thanks for the great round up of heart quilts! I’ve only made heart blocks in samplers and table runners, so making an entire heart quilt sounds like great fun! As an aside your Cakebox pattern is currently on my cutting table. I am using a Sanctuary JR by 3 Sisters and a coral pink for the background. Over the moon to get started sewing on it! 😍

I am a novice quilter. I’m taking a class to learn different patterns and I love your fabric and patterns. I’m wondering if your Lovey Dovey pattern would be suitable and doable for a beginner?
    Thank you

Hi Janet! I would consider Lovey Dovey to be advanced beginner. It uses a combination of beginner techniques (easy corner triangles and half square triangles) and there are some small pieces involved. There’s nothing tricky per se, but it requires some organization and just has a lot more steps than a typical beginner pattern. Hope that helps!

Yes it does help. Thank you so much for your prompt responce.

I love your patterns and fabric lines, and I used to love visiting your site and reading your blog UNTIL ads took over the site. Lella Boutique content is lost in between repeated and obnoxious ads. The gross belly fat ad today was the last straw. Quilting is supposed to be a pleasurable activity; being forced to look at these ads on your site Is not. It ruins it for me.

Hi Lanette. I hear you and I totally understand. Google populates the ads so I don’t have control over what pops up. I am looking into how to get this changed so I have more control. Hoping to have it better soon!

I actually like all of them which makes it hard to choose just one. I would love to have all of them.

Could you please tell me where the fabric line Christmas Morning is available for purchase? I just love that fabric! Thank You. I love all of your fabric but have to start out with a little bit at a time!!

Unfortunately, Christmas Morning is out of print (it shipped a few years ago) and is nearly impossible to find. The good news is my “Christmas Eve” collection arrives in May and has the same master color palette and very similar in feel. Hope that helps!
