Sewcialites Quilt Along: Free Block of the Week (Block 23)
There’s a new block in town. Check out the newest quilt block pattern for the Sewcialites Quilt Along by Fat Quarter Shop. Block #23 “Steadfast” by Sherri McConnell of A Quilting Life. I love how quick and easy it was to piece!
I made the 6″ finished block size of Steadfast using Christmas Morning fabric (arriving July 2021). I have loved using this collection because of the variety of print “densities” within the collection–and this block is a great example of that. The specific prints are called “Comfort” and “Snow Blossoms” (both in the cranberry color). Because the “Comfort” print has an even ratio of red + white, it looks much lighter and thus a great contrast to the solid red background of “Snow Blossoms.” I have something unique in mind for my quilt layout–can’t wait to show more in the coming months.
