It’s finished! The Rose in Bloom sampler quilt is bound and on its way to Fat Quarter Shop for book photography. Just thought I would share a few little peeks (and all the info about this project again since I’ve gotten a bunch of DMs and emails asking).

Order a Rose in Bloom Kit

Check in with your favorite local or online shop for a kit reservation. Some shops will be offering Rose in Bloom as a block of the month kit, others will be assembling whole-quilt kits.

Block of the Month Kits

Fat Quarter Shop has opened up signups for the Rose in Bloom Block of the Month for those who’d like to receive block kits each month x10 months. This signup will include a copy of the book + everything you need to make the quilt top + binding. (The book will ship with the first month’s kit.) It is anticipated to begin shipping November 2021. To guarantee yourself a kit, it is best to sign up now – the collection orders are closing soon and shops will be limited on what they can order at that point.

Backing Kit

Backing kits are sold separately and also available for preorder. The backing kit features a strip of flowers to divide up the backing fabric and is so sweet! The directions are included in the book as a little bonus.

The backing kit includes 8 yards of fabric total to make the pieced floral backing from the book (see full mockup below). Backing kits will ship the same time as the first month’s block kit (approx. November 2021).

Rose in Bloom Book Only

Of course, you can purchase the Rose in Bloom: Block of the Month book by itself and use your own fabrics. This quilt design offers a layout option for any 6″ sampler blocks you’ve made from other quilt alongs (i.e. Sewcialites or Moda Blockheads). Preorder the book now and save 5%. It’s spiral-bound–a feature I love since it means the book can lay flat at the cutting table or at my sewing machine. Just remember you don’t need to purchase the book if you’re signing up for the Block of the Month subscription.
