Pretty Please Charm Pack Quilt in Love Note Fabrics
Once in a while, I like to give my older quilt patterns a makeover. Say hello to Pretty Please, one of my popular charm pack quilt patterns from 2018. The newly finished quilt is looking mighty sweet in Love Note fabric, don’t you think?
The Pretty Please Charm Pack Quilt
In 2018, I challenged myself to design a quilt using a single charm pack (42 assorted 5″ squares). I’m “pretty pleased” what I came up with! Using only 1 charm pack (+ yardage for the sawtooth stars, taupe and white backgrounds, etc.) you can make this 60″ x 60″ quilt top:
To make it bigger: use 2 charm packs to yield an 84″ x 84″ finished quilt size! The Pretty Please pattern includes instructions for both sizes. You can see the full Materials Needed list in the pattern description here.
Piecing & Quilting Details
- Pattern: Pretty Please by Lella Boutique. Available in PDF and printed booklet formats.
- Fabric: Love Note by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics (due to arrive November 2021).
- Pieced by Miriam Rawson (hey Mom!). She pieced the 84″ x 84″ (2 charm pack) version and did such a beautiful job.
- Quilted by Marion Bott. She used a pantograph called “Maggie’s Roses” by Urban Elementz. Those quilted flowers are a perfect complement to the simple shapes of the quilt.
Did You Know?
The beauty of the Pretty Please pattern is it’s a truly great way to use up all those single charm packs you’ve been collecting! If you decide to make the 84″ x 84″ version (using 2 charm packs), they don’t need to be from the same collection. Mix and match them how you like!
