$5 in November: “Bloomers” Flower Quilt
Grow a little patchwork garden bed of happiness with the “Bloomers” flower quilt. Inspired by cross stitch, this one’s perfect for vintage lovers. Dig up a few of your favorite fat eighths or fat quarters to create a blooming masterpiece. And even better – it’s just $5 in November 2024.
The Fabric
Fabric for this Christmas-y mockup of “Bloomers” flower quilt is my upcoming Berry & Pine collection (arriving to shops May 2025) + a little Magic Dot. If you would like some of this fabric, be sure to reach out to your favorite local or online shop to request it now. (Some may even let you preorder.) The pattern calls for (18) fat eighths for the flower petal prints – but I doubled up on them and used (9) fat quarters for this one instead. Here’s the full materials list to share with shops to get a kit:
Materials Needed
- (9) fat quarters for flower petal prints (Berry & Pine SKUs #5230 15, 5230 16, 5240 12, 5241 14, 5242 14, 5243 12, 5243 14, 5246 11, and 5246 14.)

“Bloomers” in Magic Dot Fabric
I thought it would be fun to show this “Bloomers” flower quilt in a couple other fabric options. Now that Magic Dot fabric has arrived to shops, it’s the perfect model for this pattern. Check ’em out – which blue version is your favorite?
Both of these versions use (9) fat quarters for the petals instead of (18) fat eighths. How cute would this pattern be adapted to an actual cross stitch? Do I need to make that happen?! Here are materials lists for these versions in Magic Dot:
