Moda Blockheads 7: Block 3 “Game Day”
Popping in with Week 3’s block for Moda Blockheads 7 free block of the week. Block 3 is called “Game Day” and is designed by Sherri McConnell of A Quilting Life. Absolutely love this block, it’s such a cutie. Fabric is Peppermint Cocoa fabric arriving May 2027 – but you could get a similar look with my Berry & Pine collection from last year.
I made two blocks, so here are the mockups of both I made:
THE SCRAPPY LATTICE LAYOUT
I’m using a scrappy lattice layout for my quilt. The dark green squares are placeholders for future MB7 blocks – but here’s what it looks like with the blocks plugged in so far. The free pattern will be ready soon! It uses (18) strips 2″ x WOF, 1/4 yard corner accent print, and 3 yards of cream fabric.
