Hot Cross Buns in Peppermint Cocoa Fabric
Fresh from the oven! “Hot Cross Buns” serves up rows and rows of playful plus signs for a quilt that’s simple and full of scrappy charm. Grab a Jelly Roll or Layer Cake and mix up a batch of blocks for one sweet patchwork treat.
Pattern Tidbits
“Hot Cross Buns” is an oldie but a always a goodie in my book. Looks good in literally any collection, and friendly to Jelly Rolls (2.5″ strips) and Layer Cakes (10″ squares). The instructions are written so it’s easy to nest the seams of the blocks no matter how you arrange these cute little plus sign blocks. Even though the blocks are little plus signs, they sort of look ornament-like in Christmas fabrics like these. I’ve use Peppermint Cocoa – which will be arriving to shops in May 2027.
