Cocoa Party Row Quilt in Peppermint Cocoa Fabric
Sip, sip, hooray! Peppermint swirls, festive mugs, and a jolly little Santa makes for the sweetest kind of Christmas gathering. Made with fat eighths of Peppermint Cocoa fabric, this merry row quilt feels like an invitation to put on cozy pajamas, turn on the twinkle lights, and settle In for something warm and wonderful. Here’s to making the season extra special. So sip. Stitch. And be merry.
Can we also just take a moment to admire this beautifully dense cable quilting by my friend, Susan Vaughan? Drooling over all this texture.
Here’s the full layout of the quilt! We’ve got a fun collection of blocks – cocoa mugs, marshmallows, Santa, peppermints, and holly & berry sashing. There isnt’ really any blue in this collection, but as I was designing this, I was delighted to discover that the pale blue Magic Dot from True Love looks so pretty mixed in. It’s SKU #5230 64 “Robin’s Egg.”
MATERIALS
The best news about this quilt is Moda will be offering it as a boxed kit available through quilt shops. To secure yours, be sure to reach out to your favorite local or online shop now so they can order enough to meet demand. (They will arrive around May 2027). We’re basically using a fat eighth bundle for the blocks (+ a few extra SKUs for Santa’s face). You will also need background, sashing, backing, and binding prints for assembly. Here’s the full list:
COCOA PARTY ROW QUILT ALONG
I’ll be hosting a row-along for this project in July 2027. Stay tuned! It’s a little different from a block of the month/week program since we’ll be working on an entire row at a tine. The plan is to run a bi-weekly schedule which will go something like this:
