Honey Glow {Honeycomb Quilt}
Get your waggle dance ready! It’s time to work a little magic and transform Honeybun strips and fat quarter prints into adorable honeycomb-inspired blocks. Whether you’re an experienced worker bee or newer to the hive, this pattern’s traditional piecing method will have you buzzing with joy.

Pattern Tidbits
This “Honey Glow” honeycomb hexagon quilt was the quickest to piece of all the new designs! I would consider it “advanced beginner” skill level – starring a beginner easy corner triangle technique. I do have one tip regarding the striped units – use scant 1/4″ seam allowance, using the outer edge of the Honeybun strips’ pinked edges to line up with the background strips.
Fabric
This faux honeycomb quilt is made with a Honeybun for the stripe-y blocks + 11 fat quarters for the others. I auditioned a few different background prints and had a heck of a time narrowing down my favorite. The navy background version uses Magic Dot in “Midnight” navy (SKU 5230 41).
I also really loved the lightness of the Magic Dot “Daisy” multicolor on white (SKU 5230 52). For those of you who remember Folktale – it was the first collection to have Magic Dot so it feels extra special to have this sweet version.
