“Wrap It Up” Gift Quilt
‘Tis the season for boxes and bows. “Wrap up” a lovely stack of patchwork presents using your favorite mix of Christmas prints. These whimsical and wonky gift blocks feature an easy partial-seam piecing technique that will make you smile like a child on Christmas morning. And the best part? These won’t get tossed like regular wrapping paper – they’ll stay charming forever.
Pattern Tidbits
A few words about Wrap it Up‘s construction… this wonky gift block pattern uses a combination of beginner techniques including easy corner triangles (for the boxes/bows) + partial seams (for the wonky block border). If you are new to partial seams, I know they can sound intimidating – but are actually easy and quite fun. (It’s the same partial seam technique seen HERE via my “Shuffle” quilt pattern.)
Fabric
The “Wrap It Up” gift quilt was designed for my upcoming Berry & Pine fabric collection (arriving to shops May 2025). I mocked up a couple different versions using Magic Dot backgrounds. You will also notice a couple options with the border – the green version uses a contrasting print border while the grey versions just keeps it the same as the background. This pattern uses a combo of fat quarters and fat eighths for the gift blocks, you can see the full materials list HERE.
