Pattern Tidbits

This “L-O-V-E” word search quilt is advanced beginner skill level. There are 5 different block types to make (4 letters + small hearts). We use a combination of beginner techniques – easy corner triangles and half-square triangles, so I could really see some confident beginners being able to tackle it as well. Out of all the new Love Blooms quilts, this one was the quickest quilt to piece. Fun fact – this valentine letter quilt design mimics one of the prints in the collection. (See the side-by-side below.) Cool, right? (The print is also called “L-O-V-E”.)

Here is a look at the quilt-top layout overall of this L-O-V-E patchwork word scrample. How many times can you find the word “LOVE” in it?

The faded “Checkers” print is one of my favorites from the Love Blooms collection! I thought it would make a perfect binding for this one because of the contrast. I mocked up the L-O-V-E quilt with multiple background options, which one would you make? Let me know in the comments below.

Like all three options but I would make the white background. Just shows the love more to me!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them all! The red one would be for my husband, the white one for my son and the pink one for my daughter!
