24 Christmas Quilts
The countdown to Christmas is here! The halls have been “decked,” the tree trimmed, and I can officially say my shopping is done. Just a few years ago, I remember wishing for a day when I would have quilts on every bed, and even a few to spare. I can safely say I’ve reached that goal! I haven’t counted them all up, but I’m guessing it’s nearly 30 Christmas quilts by now. That sound insane. Will it stop me from making more in the future? NOPE.

December 12, 2022 at 5:14 pmMy favorite.. is all of them.. but the St Nick pattern reminds me of the Santa ceramic mugs that my mom made and painted when she was a military wife during my dad’s deployments. As a little girl, I used to line up all those Santa mugs from smallest to largest every year. We have moved so many times that now I only have a few of them. I still put out what is left of the set… my mom was a great artist and did lovely work painting them. She died this past week.. I think that I will have to make this quilt to make up for all those mugs getting broken. I think it would be fun to see if I can make them different sizes like the mugs were. Thanks for creating such a lovely quilt/pattern.

I love making christmas wallhangings but the quilts are more winter themed. Our winters here in Minnesota though lately have been mild can be 6 months long. It is nice to have them out on the sofa to cuddle with during the long snowy months. Thank you for all the beautiful fabrics and quilt patterns. We really appreciate all you do for us. Say hi to mom and give her a big christmas size hug for us we miss her……..

I would love to make quilt #9 as it is my favourite and putting it out each year for Christmas will remind our family of all the happy memories of gathering at this joyous time.

December 16, 2022 at 9:04 pmI love the Reindeer Xing pattern . We have deer in the woods behind our house. Every morning they come out, Cross my backyard up the hill to the street, they stop at the edge of my yard to watch for traffic & then walk to another home to see what’s available for their morning feasting. I provide plenty of hydrangeas & other plants for their afternoon snack – unfortunately! I love the deer anyway. My street also has the word “Xing” in it. I must make that quilt one day!
